So what is this online video thing about anyway…
Working in the online video field, we are bombarded by blogs, posts and forum discussions about video marketing, what works and what doesn’t. I think this can be a very daunting field for anyone who may be new to video marketing or creating a video. For instance, like an online travel marketing manager, who recently received an e-mail from his or her MD about “why does our competition have a video on their website and we dont?”
Increasing CTR’s on youtube…
Youtube has never been know for creating great ‘click trhough rates’ for businesses. The boys at google/youtube are clever like that. Why on earth would they want you to go anywhere else and risk loosing your dwell time on their site?
Fortunately, A lot of that has changed over the last year, with more and more functionality being brought to the site. Functionality such as the “call to action” overlays which can considerably increase traffic to your site via youtube. The best of it all though, is that it doesn’t actually cost you anything to do this.
